ISTAR-DOT (2007-2009): "Building a New Business Game Embracing All Enterpreneurship Competences"

Business games are ideal tools for students to acquire relevant competences. This Intensive Program wants to come up with a comprehensive new business game, learning what is already good and overcoming constraints of existing games, as such covering more key enterprenurship competences. One target target group of this IP is ICT students from a Business department, educated to develop applications for businesses and often starting a business themselves. In this programme, they will work closely together with Business Management students, with companies, in international teams. They will learn by doing and help others to learn better by doing.

This can be achieved by ISTAR-DOT:

  • I = Inventorise existing games
  • S = Selecting shortlist (10)
  • T = Testing/playing
  • A = Analysing: SWOT
  • R = Requirements gathering
  • D = Developoing new game for simulating enterpreneurship in our institutions
  • O = Optimising to curricula
  • T = Training/Integrating in curricula
