I hold a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering (September 2009) and an MSc (Distinction) in Computer and Information Networks (2005) from University of Essex, Colchester, UK, a BSc (Honors) in Electrical Engineering and Informatics (specialization in Computer Engineering) from Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Budapest, Hungary (2004) and an HND in Electrical Engineering from Higher Technical Institute, Nicosia, Cyprus (2000.) I am currently a Visiting Lecturer of Computer Science and Engineering at the Frederick University, Cyprus and a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Department of Computer Science, University of Cyprus. My Research Interests include:

  • Networks, Mobile Computing and Telecommunications: Smartphones Networks, Mobile Social Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, Routing, Topology and Power Control, Data Management and Query Processing.

  • Evolutionary Computation: Genetic Algorithms, Memetic Algorithms, Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithms, Evolutionary Strategies, Genetic Programming.

  • Metaheuristic Search: Local Search, Variable Neighbourhood Search, Tabu Search, Simulated Annealing and  Guided Local Search.

  • Optimization: Combinatorial Optimization, Multi-Objective Optimization, Bi-level Optimization, Dynamic Optimization.

  • Constraint Handling: Penalization, Repair heuristics, Pareto-dominance based.
