High-Tech, Low-Tech Clothes Dryer Project (1996-2000)

• Experimentally modeling the clothes dryer cycle.
• Modeling and optimizing an electric heater
• Building and testing an optimized heater
• Correlating the mass transfer process inside the dryer
• Optimizing the mass transfer coefficient inside the drum of a clothes dryer
• Designed and tested modules that reduce relative humidity of air by applying high voltage
